 About Our Parish Cemteries Minimize

Holy Family Parish is proud to operate three parish cemeteries:

  • St. Joseph Cemetery
located at the end of West Milwaukee Street in Waterloo
  • St. Mary of the Nativity Cemetery
located behind the water treatment plant off of Hwy. 19 in Marshall
  • The Island Church Cemetery (formerly St. Wenceslaus Parish)
located on Island Church Rd. in Waterloo

St. Joseph and St. Mary of the Nativity Cemeteries have ample space to provide a dignified, sacred place of rest for those in our parish and their families until the day of the resurrection when we are raised with Christ in glory.  Interment lots can be purchased by contacting one of our cemetery sextons listed to the left.  While the Island Church Cemtery is no longer accepting new burials, the cemetery continues to be maintained.

We are currently in the process of automating our cemetery maps and burial records!  When the automation process is completed, family members, visitors and those doing geneological research will be able to view our cemetery map, search for burial information and view headstones via the Internet!

The Holy Family Parish Cemetery Commission is also in the process of creating our first cemetery handbook, which will list all current prices, cemetery rules and other information applicable to the cemetery.  The handbook will hopefully be completed during the winter months and will be available in print as well as on the web site.
